Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are looking to hire a Editor to join our team.

The mission of the editor is to edit, fact-check, and proofread clinical content, healthcare general interest content, and clinical and non-clinical news for the MDLinx website, while ensuring the highest quality, accuracy, and style to engage our audience of physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Duties Include

  • Copyedit, fact-check, and proofread content to ensure quality and scientific accuracy and that all pieces are grammatically and factually correct
  • Edit articles for flow and consistency, ensuring all articles submitted for final approval align with originally approved pitch and content strategy
  • Create and suggest content changes for rewrites on articles to ensure accuracy and clarity
  • Ensure strict adherence to AMA and internal styles as identified
  • Maintain internal Style Guides for assigned products
  • Provide backup to other members of the Editorial department including Content Managers, Writers, and Editorial Director, as appropriate
  • Perform high quality copyediting and fact-checking on various content types resulting in minimal to no typographical errors
  • Ensure the quality/readability of writing style as defined by MDLinx Style Guide
  • Ensure that all original content posted on the website is comprehensive, coherent and speaks to the main audience (physicians and healthcare workers)

Requirements

  • Must be familiar with editing several types of medical content, including, but not limited to: clinical and non-clinical medical feature articles, conference materials (reports, abstracts, posters), expert interviews and scripts, journal articles and summaries, medical news, and quizzes
  • Must be highly proficient with AMA Style, 10th edition
  • Must be familiar with the healthcare landscape as far as topics of interest and appropriate communication style with HCPs
  • Must be equally comfortable with editing both highly scientific and conversational tones of voice
  • Must have a proficient understanding of medical and scientific terminology across a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Must have experience with non-clinical, medical lifestyle content
  • Must be comfortable working in an online content management system (CMS), as well as with Google Docs/Sheets, and PowerPoint
  • Medical website experience preferred
