iland is looking for an experienced Product Program Manager to organize and coordinate programs specific to Product Management processes. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing guidance to Product Managers and other teams in ways that promote efficient product and service releases. This is a full-time position based in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a representative for the Vice President of Product Management at meetings, and provide/gather status for VP

  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Product Management to manage, track, and report the Product Management Team’s OKRs (objectives and key results), including the horizontal and vertical alignment with other departments

  • Identify, maintain, monitor, analyze, action, and report the appropriate product and team measurements (including SLOs, SLIs, and KPIs) in collaboration with Product Managers.

  • Manage and mentor Product Project Managers to ensure consistent and quality project management, including reporting

  • Define, implement, and monitor Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Product Release processes and policies, including documentation and enablement

  • Coordinate and monitor inter-departmental activities that are part of the Product Release process, including deadlines

  • Define and implement product sunset programs and policies, and coordinate the execution across multiple teams

  • Define, implement and monitor the processes and policies for internal/external product communications related to release notes, versioning, legal updates, and in general any non-marketing related information

  • Work with the Product and Project Managers to define, organize, maintain, and track QA test plans and test cases related to product releases

  • Define and implement a Managed Services framework and program for our self-service/assisted/managed umbrella of professional services

  • Assess programs' performance, document and implement changes to maximize efficiency

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

The following skills represent the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT Business Administration, Information Systems Management, or a related study
  • 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager or any other managerial position for product or technology departments
  • 4+ years of people management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of change management principles
  • Experience leading large program management efforts including establishing effective governance structures, cross functional coordination, initiative prioritization, and executive stakeholder management and reporting
  • Proven experience developing and managing workback schedules, scope, budgets, resource plans, issues, risks and change requests
  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience working closely with senior executives and cross-functional partners, including software developers, engineers, marketing, accounting and business operations roles, to deliver key strategic initiatives
  • Strong end to end project management skills, shepherding multiple programs from kick off to completion
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills and the ability to interact with executive level business and technical partners and keep multiple groups on the same page
  • Proactive desire to own and drive projects forward through measurable process, planning and team engagement.
  • Comfortable working in a very fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Delivery experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to execute multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
  • Experience with Project and Portfolio, Roadmap and Task management tools

Preferred Skills

The following skills represent additional proficiencies preferred to be successful in this position:

  • Proficient in Issue & Project Tracking Software (Atlassian Jira preferably), its configuration, dashboards, navigation and use
  • Proficient in Roadmap software (Aha! preferably)
  • Good listener with low ego
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong quantitative abilities
