Our Market Position

Great Minds’ Eureka Math is the most widely used curriculum in the history of American education. It enjoys an unrivaled 40+ net promoter score. Eureka and its sister products, Wit & Wisdom English and PhD Science, embrace much higher expectations for all students and teachers. In a market dominated by scripted, procedural materials that drive expectations down, Great Minds produces curricula that celebrate knowledge, respect the craft of teaching, and acknowledge the true capabilities of students.

The Quality Assurance Lead - Data will work within the Data Platform team to ensure all aspects of the data platform are functionally correct and performant. Because the data platform underpins multiple products, you will also work with other delivery teams as necessary to facilitate understanding and provide context to changes being made. You are responsible for managing, assessing, and executing tests for initiatives assigned to you, tracking and communicating test progress and results to stakeholders. Along with the QA Director, QA Manager, and other QA Leads, you drive improvements to our overall QA team processes and strategies.

  • Establish the test strategy for the data platform. Review infrastructure, schema, and data flows to determine best approaches to ensure data integrity and platform performance.

  • Develop test plans and test cases to verify data accuracy and platform responsiveness in each area of development. Use metrics for product use and defect history to inform test coverage and prioritization.

  • Execute tests and perform root cause analysis for defects encountered. Maintain accurate test results and track defects through to resolution. Communicate concerns regarding unresolved issues to stakeholders as early in the process as possible.

  • Work within the data platform team to question, comment, and contribute during the SDLC process. Bring real world customer use cases and “what ifs” to the conversations in these meetings.

  • Work effectively and collaboratively with other delivery teams to communicate context and scope of data platform changes. Ensure all aspects of necessary testing is covered without duplication of effort across teams. Communicate gaps or concerns to stakeholders (Product Management, User Experience, Customer Success, QA Management, etc.) to advance product quality.

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement appropriate tools and processes to improve test coverage, test execution, trouble-shooting, and status reporting.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement within the larger QA team. Along with the QA Director, QA Manager, and other QA Leads, establish and evolve formal QA processes, standards, and guidelines, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.

  • Mentor more junior members of the team. Provide knowledge sharing and training where appropriate. Provide guidance to follow QA team processes and best practices.
