**Position Summary **

The assets associate maintains an extensive knowledge of PhD Science assets, reviews manuscripts to determine asset needs, and submits asset requests. A successful assets associate demonstrates excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, competence with technology, and a collaborative spirit.

The assets associate is responsible for performing the following tasks in addition to other tasks that directly support and ensure the success of the PhD Science program:

  • Collaborating with Curriculum and Editorial teams to understand asset needs
  • Conducting image research through stock agencies, archives, and other sources
  • Reviewing manuscripts and submitting asset requests for purchase, editing, or creation
  • Confirming copyright holders
  • Ensuring images meet minimum requirements for publishing in print and digital formats
  • Escalating high-risk asset requests and permission issues to meet deadlines
  • Providing image alternatives as needed
  • Maintaining accurate asset documentation and records
